The GAIN control is the first knob on the left, but it actually is a control for the second gain stage. Increasing this knob will also add a warmth to the output as well as increasing gain. The LEVEL control is for overall output and can produce up to 45 dB of gain, which is plenty to push into fuzz territory. SHAPE is controlled by 2x 2-position selector switches. The first 3 position selector (1,2,3) effects the first gain stage with position 3 being the most total gain. Position 1 and 2 are the same amount of gain but position 1 has a low-pass filter in it. Selector 2 switches from shaped high-gain output (A), to flat low-gain (B), and bright medium gain (C). Finally, the third selector, CLIP, controls the clipping diode module. Options are 1st pair (1), no clipping diodes (0), and a 2nd pair (2).
